Which tools does your trip need?
Tick the jobs you actually have. Most trips need two tools, not six.

What to look for in a group trip app
- Nobody else has to download anything. Every extra signup loses you a friend or two. Links beat apps.
- Private budgets. If budgets are visible to the group, you'll get the highest number in the room, not the truth. (Here's how private budgets work.)
- A deadline and reminders. The tool should chase stragglers so the organizer doesn't have to.
- Specific choices, not blank boxes. Options people can tick get answered; open questions don't.
- A clear decision at the end. Not a chart of votes. A pick.
When you don't need Trip Pulse
Honestly: if it's three close friends who already agree on the place and dates, you don't need any of this. Book it and use the chat. And if you're splitting rent with roommates all year, Splitwise is the better tool for that.
